Accents everywhere!!!

Capiro crew

Capiro crew

The Kenya media scene is littered with men and women who try really hard to sound every inch American to a Kenyan public! Especially at Capital, if you can’t say ‘Capiro FM’ you can’t get the job, trust me I know šŸ™‚ Media Madness breaks ’em down

Those that sound good

Fareed of course, Sheila Easy Fm, Waweru Njoroge, Kathryn Omwandho – KTN reporter, Maina, Caroline, Chao, Eve – although when she started doing Mid-morning she was trying to sound white but when homegirl went on to host ‘hits not homework’ it worked! She sound soo good now. Joey – Capital eih nice!!

Where do we start, JAMES SMART first dude you DONT have a deep voice, sounds like you’re in between ‘stages’ if you get what I mean…even the DJ on Saturday music and sports thinks you need to re-check your strategy kabisa. Rae the fuse, homegirl is trying wery wery hard to hide her Indian side…I cant wait for her to say ‘Prowacative’ hehe then we have Angela over at Classic she says hers is a Canadian accent! How now? Taylor at homeboyz sample this, ‘Nikor nar safaricom’ WTH? Jumia Amunga Capital – yeah you didn’t even know that’s the way her name is spelt cause goodness me doesn’t she ‘weng’ it!

Peninah Karibe at NTV, Belinda Obura at Citizen, she scares me, really she does. The weather girl on NTV is a little bit too much we can forget Lilian Muli who weds tommorow I’m sure she will say ‘I dor’

Those learning English still…
