John came to the country from England to work for Capital. He used to work in a community radio station is some gishagi in Britain. I kid you NOT!!

He worked on Capital’s drive for a while and when Kiss came into the market, he was poached by PQ to be PC.

At Kiss John was extra salty AKA a bit bitchy and since Kiss quickly became successful people thought it was cause of him BUT ALAS! He was just lucky, he had people who actually worked hard aka Caroline and Maina. Then came the damsel in awful clothes OO, John started seeing things over his tea breaks and broke a few rules and touched OO’s neck. He’s too sweet for sex…he really was into OO and one time fought a diplomat cause of OO!!

When OO left Kiss, he also did and soon Phil Mathews brought John into NMG…after a few months of tense moments at NMG, Phil left citing John’s big ego as the reason for leaving.

He’s still at NMG DOING NOTHING! Cause let’s face it, Easy and Q Fm are not exactly the best in the market.

Is John overrated? OF COURSE!

I guess thats what our entertainment scene is made up of! Cant wait for a new revolution when it comes to radio programming. What we have as Programme controllers is a guys who think of their taste in music is what the market wants.eh! Radio Djs? they have become a bunch of salespeople ,selling everything from insurance to detergents and bank accounts…kindly stop killing radio creativity..

Why oh why do we bring foreigners to lead our workers yet our markets/populations and theirs are so so different?!

Of course he is over rated, Easy Fm is more boring than listening to market women gossip, Why are these Radio stations always employing foreigners? we don’t have kenyans who are capable of controlling proggies? Nktest!

Sleaze is the hallmark of Kenyan media. No wonder the airwaves are filled with nothing but sex.

you want to know why we bring in foreigners to run radio.. Bob Kioko was the PC at Nation, and did nothing, constant run-ins with presenters….so until we get a kenyan who can actually run a station and we dont mean “into the ground” then we are stuck with Phils, Johns and Petes..
