Revenues don’t grow on trees!

Victor the GM of broadcasting at NMG is on John Wilkin’s ass (Although am sure he’s thought long and hard about that in a literal sense) he’s on John’s ass cause John knows NADA!! ABOUT REVENUES. And Victor is not happy with Easy Fm’s revenue machinery. John is too busy sipping tea and doing nothing at his HOT office he forgot about the money part. He rarely meets clients and the only media buyer he knows is George Lutta. He doesn’t even know any agency sales. For a person who’s been around for 10 years, that’s bull crap!

Fun facts!! Easy FM is the number one English station NATIONWIDE! But they make what Inooro FM makes!! And worse Capiro makes waaaay more than Easy FM and from the last stats I saw Capiro only has 2% of the market share!

Like we said juzi,  JOHN is overrated! He knows Jack about marketing and sales. At Kiss Caroline Mutoko was the one doing all the rounds making money for Kiss. SMH

  1. Just a quick correction. Market share is calculated by the sales in a certain year divided by overall sales in the industry as a percentage. In your article, Capital bills “waaaaaaaaay more” than Easy and all other stations for that matter. They have the highest market share in the radio industry. Maybe what you meant to say was the share of ear, for capital is 2%. Am not being lame, am a statistician, so for me, this mix up would be the equivalent of me thinking 50 cents were say Elton John.

@kamata, thanks you took the words right outta my mouth, furthermore the head of broadcasting at NMG is Ian fernandes and not victor. i like your blog dude but you are constantly getting your facts wrong these days, what’s going on????

Ed Note Ian is head of the Digital Division at Nation Media Group. The changes were announced last year. John wilkins is General Manager radio division.
