NTV and KTN are in a dick measuring compe with the fake money expose stuff…BUUUUT!! Most people kinda agree the KTN one was a bit errr.. while the NTV one looks thorough…but hey! Like I was told jana, I’m an idiot and my opinions don’t mean shit (they were right). So in your honest opinion, what do you make of the two investigative pieces

    yeye,
first of all you should give me credit for being the first to notice this compe from my post jana, otherwise I sue your ass.
The KTN one looks like it was done in a hurry and is not well researched,Only they tell it better than that Onsarogo guy.
Lets wait and see todays episode!

ED NOTE Yes, you were first to mention it here šŸ™‚ thanks!!

KTN started their investigations years back when NTV was in deep sleep. So when they smelled coffee, KTN was miles ahead of them, the only option they had was to copy paste what KTN had. Is it any wonder they still peep and copy ideas. shida ni kwamba they dont know how to develop ideas into good stories.

do u know i believe you….thats one talent NTV has….copy pasting….see most of their programmess…its a copy of another either on KTN or mostly from Citizen….

Trust me this is not the end there is more to all this radio wars , from citizen, to the new standard group radio, radio jambo , milele, hot 96 and even in the coastal market…so you haven’t heard the last of it

    • Posted by Anita on March 19, 2010 at 9:16 am

did u know that Maina is not interesting without King’ang’i? the equation has to be complete becasue why the morning show rocks is because….Maina + King’ang’i = the Rocker Morning Show on Classic 105…..so Maina dont cheat urself by going with out Mwalimu….

Enyewe at this rate, news reporters will have to take an extra class in school…Acting!!! What was that with the crawling on the floor!!!! Ntv’s came off as sober and well researched…KTN, hmnnn…wacha tusiseme mob…

  7. Posted by kkile on March 18, 2010 at 8:09 am

Editor, regarding Maina kageni and SK macharia a lot of credit for the the stuff that happens the goes to the SK mzee but what I hear on the streets is that wachira waruru is the the real mover and shaker there, or is he just a figure head with a big ass title basking on other people’s achievements

    • Posted by mike on March 18, 2010 at 8:18 am

@ Kkile W.waruru is actually like a Clerk there S.K is the Real thing with his Wifey!!!

      • Posted by Anita on March 19, 2010 at 8:49 am

YAP when they want to poach the Biggest boss is the one who turns the table not the MD my friend….so i would expect SK to be the one turning the tables and leading the motion…

  8. Posted by kkile on March 18, 2010 at 8:33 am

A glorified clerk? basi he should have remained at KBC

  9. Posted by Who? on March 18, 2010 at 8:43 am

So they have set the stage to outdo each other…problem is KTN has mastered the art! (Those two boys will wind up dead one day). There only problem may have been that they were investigating this shit and had their game planned but when they eard NTV was pulling a fast one, they decided not to be left out. Blame NTV for KTN’s mistakes at the end of the day.

Money making antics aside, NTV will never measure up to KTN when it comes to delivering news! Never! Even if they fish Njoroge Mwaura, Lilian Muli, etc etc there. It has happened before. NTV lured the best of KTN brains in 2005… I am talking Joe Ageyo, Emmanuel Juma, Nimrod Taabu, Brenda Mulinya, you name them. These people aer being paid handsomely. The idea was to make KTN look smuck but look what happened. They dust themselves and stand up tall.

    • Posted by Unseen on March 18, 2010 at 8:47 am

Naona iko mtu hapa nasaidia mimi kuwatch KTN. your second para imebeba ukweli only. You put it well “They will never measure up”! Thank you for noticing.

  10. who gives a rats ass!! these two stations are clearly on an ego trip
meanwhile Citizen is doing them both!!
at this rate K24 will emerge tops
    or maybe kbc channel 1

    • Posted by mike on March 18, 2010 at 9:29 am

WEWE leave that Bi-atch ass K24 out of this ….i mean we only watch Capital Talk, the rest of their programs cabbagggge …n who the F* watches This is Louis ……the show looks soooo Dead to me

      • Posted by hotstepper on March 18, 2010 at 11:56 am

poor LOUIS and the way he was a diva at Citizen. Now he is the proverbial “simba amenyeshewa utadhani ni paka”

      • Posted by Unseen on March 18, 2010 at 12:20 pm

Louis Rocked in KTN. He moved and lost the glamour. They make me dizzy with the speed at which they switch employers. Mike is right K24 programmes suck. and modest, I give a rat’s ass! Plus any other ass out there

  15. Posted by Pearl on March 18, 2010 at 2:20 pm

the KTN storo had all the theatrics of a nolly wood movie really those too ‘actors’ can do better. NTV’s expose was sawa

  16. Posted by localcritiq on March 18, 2010 at 2:25 pm

So…I came to check out the developments and viola! KTN is in the hizzouse! Kuna posers kwa hizi posts, but who cares…Methinks they the Ali dude is bipolar. As 4 Namu…sigh…he lost his credibility when he croaked the national anthem at the CNN awards…lol! who does that? The duo is highly over-rated! NTV should just keep their tiny feet on the ground they’ll kick some KTN behind! Stay sober folks…

  17. surely NTV copied KTN investigative piece.i first thought the other way round.Seriously ntv how can the two terible pieces cost u 3 months.KTN did almost perfectly and suspects were even arraigned in court and charged.SHAME ON U NTV.KUDOS KTN,MAY I LIVE LONGER TO ENJOY WATCHING ALWAYS KTN

  18. Posted by Lentils on March 18, 2010 at 6:57 pm

Ntv turned 50! Half a century! 25+25=50! Oh em gee! So now the entire bulletin is about this? In between draft constitutions, cemetary scams and other issues you think i have time to blow birthday candles? Besides, we all know daily nation is where the money is at. Get some credibility on tv pls.

  19. Posted by wyclef on March 19, 2010 at 6:07 am

though KTN had some theatrics, atleast it looked real coz it went on to show us the guys arrested and taken to court, But NTV was abit flat

  26. Posted by greenfinger on March 19, 2010 at 2:49 pm

tina has been ditched? how long ago was that? so much for dubai shopping trips and the black e-class she used to manhandle. does she get to keep that car…. i wonder

  27. Posted by Onyi on March 19, 2010 at 3:12 pm

KTN ni sawa na investigations zao ni authentic.

They show the evidence and how it has been obtained.

NTV’s was too full of background music, can’t hear what the fraudster is saying and that Onsarigo guy just kept summarizing the story bila ya sisi kusikia what exactly the culprits were saying. Mimi sitaki conclusions na assumptions, nataka kusikia vile wana sema na kuona vile wanafanya.

I think those two boys of KTN try to do a thorough job, NTV’s guys just running after.

  28. Posted by Atwech on March 19, 2010 at 4:50 pm

    Who is tina?
‘Innocent vaginal penny’ fresh apple u that was funny… Lmao

  29. Posted by Gin on March 19, 2010 at 6:28 pm

Watu wa grapevine, weuwee! Now guys fill us in on this tina chic. …Anythin for mucene….

  30. Posted by memyselfni on March 19, 2010 at 6:37 pm

Truth be told, the NTv thing was looong on vagueness, couldn’t hear what that Onsarigo guy or even the fraudsters were saying and why is it all in the dark? Is it a must that fraud or even con games be played out in the dark Maybe V. Ngei can answer that…seems like it was hastily put together in a knee jerk reaction to KTN’s piece, looked like a set up to me,who in their right mind would accept KES 1000 that is badly trimmed and looking soo ordinary that one could tell its fake even through the camera and the screen.I thought the conman’s trick lies in convincingly putting a ‘real’ fake note out there..as for the intrigues at NTv you have no idea how the chips fall between fifth, sixth and seventh floors…the alleged ‘fcukees’ are on the floors above the alleged ‘fcukers’…and there are lifts and a circular staircase… and do not forget the allocated packing slots in the basement…do the maths…

  31. Posted by memyselfni on March 19, 2010 at 6:40 pm

and there is nothing innocently virginal about Penny..and am not hating about her. It all about being friend with the make up artists and the light guys at the NTv’s studios…ever sen her close up in person? Those legs are nothing to write home about…

tina is a chic in dayo uni and is (now was) joho’s clande. the madam iz hawte n all with an attitude to boot. that’s who tina iz. its been a good 2 plus years of joho servicing but it clearly is now time to milk jimnah mbaru (in more ways than one) now that he has extra to waste after conning us during the safcom ipo….that short midget rich shmuck bastard!

  34. Posted by Jm on March 24, 2010 at 11:05 am

Well I think NTV as a station changed alot when it came to broadcasting, when they changed from Nation TV to NTV they introduced small things in the media industry. simple thing s like news Bar, and also they were the fast to comeup with a state of the art studio. to me they played there role, and they made the rest to work there ass out to catch up.
